Department Receives DUI Grant

Sheriff Pugh and Chief Deputy Keith Alexander with some of the enforcement tools purchased with DUI Grant

The Winston County Sheriff's Office recently received almost $30,000 in grant funds for improved equipment for DUI enforcement. Chief Deputy Keith Alexander indicated that the Alcohol Impaired Driving DUI Enforcement Grant through the Mississippi Department of Public Safety can be used for local DUI enforcement over a period of time.

The $29,100 grant allowed the Department to purchase cameras,intoxilyzers (breathalyzers), road flares and other material for patrol cars and officers.
